I love every clip he has. The wing is not in his way no matter what he's doing. So much debate over should the wing be in your front hand or back hand riding the wave. Cash just flips it around, overpowers it, and then uses it to his advantage. So smooth

One of my favorite riders at the moment. Definitely the most fun type of riding.

Ooohhhhh them’s fighting words! I won’t argue. But definitely two heads of the same coin. Both guys are amazing.

Both are hyper-talented, incredible, stylish. But... I'll confess to some bias.
Cash's approach is the antidote to what often disappoints me, bores me with most contests.
Contest surfing. Highly technical, skilled... a safe, conservative, repetitive, predictable mindset that checks the boxes on the score-card.
Cash is a phenom free-surfing having fun, creating, playing... doing unexpected, mind-blowing stuff.
Maybe not the best strategy to "win", but definitely the best way to keep me and I suspect lots of people watching.
Ultimately thats what pays the bills and why I think risk/creativity should be heavily weighted in judging- to encourage just such lunacy.

Re: Cash can do no wrong.
Totally agree. I was shocked when I found out the freestyle format was essentially a best trick format. Which has led to the double up tricks where you do a flip and the immediately throw a small flaka “in continuation.” Which I think is super silly. Connecting tricks can be cool but only if it’s stylish. Not a technicality to score more points.
Also, if you’ve seen one 1080 you’ve seen them all. I would way rather watch someone throw a big stalled air tweaked out or hit a cool air back into the wave.
There’s definitely something impressive about riders that can nail a trick every single time, but I’ve always been a fan of trying random stuff and just going for it. Like the wing behind backwinding back flip Ive tried a few times! Haha so goofy.

That's pretty cool. I could also add an LAFC "Group" to the website or an LAFC topic under SoCal for you guys to announce events and that kind of thing. And then make @Steamroller the moderator of that group... you know... if enough people sign up! 🤣
