We've been teaching foiling and winging for several years now on Kauai. Happy to help you navigate all the choices. Also have gear for rent or demo from Onix Foils, KT, Cloud IX, Cabrinha, PPC, Konrad, and some others.
We have helped a lot of people in their first sessions on the water and have seen their progress as they get hooked on this awesome sport. One huge advantage of early lessons is saving money by choosing the right gear for you. People can try high aspect or medium aspect foils, hard handle or strap handle wings, big boards or wide boards and see what work best for them.
We are definitely not as focused on specific brands, but rather the capabilities and features that different gear offers. We are constantly looking and cheering on the foils, board, and wings that we feel have a company ethos that is doing its best to protect the environment and be more sustainable, while also making top quality gear that rides awesome and doesn't break.
