It’s was a complete game changer. I went out in 25 to 30 knts yesterday. My new board was it I was up on foil first tack and stayed there . Unbelievable 5 months of work payed off. I even did some heel side to toe side jybes. It’s amazing when your controlling your wing your are using a lot less muscle. So that being said a smaller board 95l was a game changer I see riding this board for a long time.

Awesome! The Naish Hover Compact you had is a great first board because it’s really stable, but the traditional Hover Carbon Ultra has a much better shape to gain speed. Also I think a smaller board is much easier to get on foil so long as it has enough volume to keep you at the surface. Your jibes will be much easier now!

I love when winging clicks and all of a sudden it's not a battle to stay upwind anymore.

In a way it’s almost sad because once you get upwind and jibing down if feels like that’s it… but it’s not! It’s just the beginning. That’s when you start “winging” less and foiling more. Swell riding, downwinding, and wave riding with the wing as a tool to unlock the best features of the foil.

I’m looking forward to that next stage and believe I’ve got a long journey ahead still. Next it my jybes. Although being a big wave surfer and kite surfer I’m really looking forward to getting in the surf. Look forward to getting together and winging with you guys. ☮️☮️ Mark
