Hey so-cal riders. I'm headed for a little vacation time in the Huntington Beach area. Never been and wondering about feasibility of foiling far north of pier. I hear there is a mapped dw run in the area also. Of course this is all condition dependent. Any riders frequent the area and can share some intel? I'm respectful :) Bringing my dw paddle foilboard and a wing!

Yup plenty of open beaches to the north. South swell and a higher tide go to seal beach jetty. Stop into the foil shop while you’re there. See all the new gear on person.

I’ve only gone to Bolsa Chica from Seal on a DWinder. Not sure if it was a weird day, but it was not good for downwinding. Bumps were ground swell onshore and no wind swell. SUP guy with me bailed. But. Once I got to Bolsa it was massive ground swell. Super fun. It was also very heavy shore break.
@503foil Let us know when you’re in town. I might drive down for a session. That’s what the
WFC IS ALL ABOUT!
Also agreed. Check out The Foil Shop for foils and boards. Also check No Limits Kiteboarding sometimes you can get an insane deal on a wing if he’s getting rid of stock. And The Crema Café in Seal Beach is winger owned. Good pastries.

Thank you Hdip and thank you Wingman. I'm excited to give it a go then. My lack of car will likely keep me close to rental but if conditions light up I may splurge for a car. I will definitely reach out if it looks worthy. Cheers!

If you know how to DW message me a few days before you're out and I'll get you in on the guys who go and shuttle with each other. There's plenty of opportunity to foil with people down there if you want too.
