I added a cool extension which allows you to mention someone in a post by typing the @ symbol and then the first letter of their user name. The person will receive a notification on the forum. If you want to get an email notification when mentioned (or if you are getting an email notification and want to turn it off), go to Edit Profile and then Notifications to toggle on/off your notifications when someone mentions you. I will now mention all of you so you'll be notified of this new feature and to test it. @Registered users

Okay, I've added some features to the Mentions feature. The @ button does work on mobile, but you have to click the text box, scroll up, wait a couple seconds, then you'll see the drop down or type a letter and you'll see some users. Since this is kind of buggy, I added the code for mentioning to the tool bar as a button. You won't see the tool bar in Quick Replies, so you have to click "Full Editor and Preview."

You'll see in the tool bar there is now an "smention" (Simple Mention) button. If you're on mobile and the @ symbol isn't working, you can click the smention button and then type the full username and it will work when you submit or preview your post. You can also type the username first, highlight it, then click the smention button. Or use the code:

Code: Select all

[smention]username[/smention]
When you mention someone, their name will also be clickable and link to their profile as long as it exists.

This program isn't perfect, but it has a lot of great features, and as I learn more I can tweak them more!
