Best foot strap washers?

I have two different types of footstraps (both pictured). Both have plastic washers that allow the screw to retain the strap. One footstrap has a thin layer of neoprene that goes on top of the washer and screw.

in of these setups, the washers dig into my shins when winging and my chest when proning. I have lots of bruises to prove it (not pictured).

Is there a better solution that is easier on the shins?
Thanks

I don’t know if they’re the best, but I use big flat stainless washers from the hardware store. I use a button head screw though and the Dakine straps cover the head with neoprene. I feel them in my skin occasionally. But not too often.

Sounds good. I will try that. I was also thinking gluing a disk of eva foam on top of that could help.

If you have an Ace hardware nearby give them a try. They sell them individually so you don't have to buy a whole package.
