Re: Lake Lopez
@Wingman Thats a cool idea. Would be really helpful especially for the lakes cause they can be kinda tricky. There's so much we could do by actually building a real community and expanding the website features. Imagine if everything was in one location: all the Facebook groups, a comprehensive used...

Re: Lake Lopez
Thanks for the info on Lake Lopez. I'm hoping to add a feature to the website eventually where users can upload spot information including conditions, nearby camping, integrated GPS, best time of year, weather forecasts, etc. Unfortunately, I have a lot more coding to learn before I can build that (...

Re: Surfers killed in Baja
Yeah that story makes me sad about it too. Honestly though, you just stick to the main areas, get a hotel room, you're fine. Where they were feels SUPER remote. There is no help out there and it's not populated with surfers. La Ventana is totally fine and not like that at all. La Ventana doesn’t ca...

Re: Beginner Gear: Boards, Foils, and Wings - Episode 3
WINGS Wings are an amazing invention that have really opened up foiling to the masses. But boy oh boy, do I have a love hate relationship with wings. Foils are sharp, and I've often described wings as "a couple balloons wrapped in tissue paper." It's a bit of an exaggeration, but foils an...

Surfers killed in Baja
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cd13vgg720jo This is a really awful situation. I had thought about going down to Mexico a couple months ago to film a YouTube video and hit all the epic wave spots on the wing, but after this latest incident I don’t think I’ll do that for the forseeable future. I’m ...

Re: Where are you all winging tomorrow, May 5?
Went out at Cabrillo yesterday and it was epic! Huge swell and pretty good wind until about 4 then it was too much and chopped everything up. It was breaking out at the buoy, swell probably 3-4ft on the outside. Super fun! In retrospect I wish I had gone to Cabrillo or Topanga or County. Leo was wi...

Im not loving this weird midday dip I’m seeing on Wind Alert. The windy HRRR still looks good all day.

Re: Where are you all winging tomorrow, May 5?
I'll be deciding in the morning. I only have a 4 meter and 3.5 meter at the moment, so I may be going wherever looks the windiest. Nadja Bianchet is in town and looking to ride, so might try and convince her to come up north for some backflip practice.

Practice on Land - Episode 5
https://youtu.be/2pyCwpXa9AY?si=i-J51cz75hnYQEjp Episode 5 is on how to set up your wing and practice maneuvering it on land. Spending time on land will save you a ton of time on the water. I also show how to use a skateboard with the wing to accelerate your learning. Written tips can be found in my...
